Once upon a time, Princess Aurora is born. Jealous that she was not invited to the celebration, Carabosse curses the young princess. On her 16th birthday, Aurora pricks her finger on a spindle. The Lilac Fairy ensures that she will not die but will fall into a deep sleep, along with the kingdom. After 100 years pass, Prince Desire sees a vision of the sleeping princess and is entranced. With the help of the Lilac Fairy, he awakens her with a kiss and the spell is broken.
