Women of Toledo
Monday, March 8, 2021 | 11:30 - 1 p.m.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Women of Toledo (WOT) and Welcome TLC will present a virtual Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Power Hour on Monday, March 8 2021 from 11:30am to 1:00 pm. Our quarterly Power Hour forum helps improve our participants’ capacity to bring about economic change for themselves and others by overcoming poverty, discrimination, and/or exploitation.
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender balance. A Power Hour Panel has been assembled to spark dialogue on #choosetochallenge. “A challenging world is an alert world. Individually, we are all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge” – International Women’s Day.
This virtual session will start at 11:30am with an introduction from our Program Partner, Welcome TLC. Bring your own lunch and join us virtually on Women of Toledo’s zoom space.
