The art scene in Toledo has long been a source of pride throughout the region. Visitors regularly flock to the Toledo Museum of Art—commonly considered one of the top-rated museums in the world—to experience the over 30,000 works of art on display across its four and a half acres of floor space. Not to be missed is the Museum’s adjacent Glass Pavilion, home to its world-renowned glass collection, located across the street.
But the area’s celebrated arts scene runs much deeper and broader, with numerous smaller galleries, studios and performing arts venues throughout the area that are simply not to be missed. Art Loop, Toledo’s monthly art exploration, takes place every third Thursday from April to December and gives you the opportunity to explore every inch of our vibrant creative community.
Music abounds in the area, too. Spending an evening with the acclaimed Toledo Symphony Orchestra is a truly transformative experience, with the area’s best and brightest musician expertly performing concerts that cover musical territory ranging from classic to contemporary.
Plus, theatergoers can revel in the many varied live theater performances at several area venues, including the Valentine Theatre, the Toledo Repertoire Theatre and the timeless Peristyle Theatre, housed within the Toledo Museum of Art.
