PRINTABLE PDF Toledo is a city that is proud of its Arts community, and with good reason. Did you know that jazz legend Art Tatum was born and raised right here in Toledo? That’s where our deep jazz roots originate and live on today through the Art Tatum Jazz Society. And word has gotten out about our world-class Toledo Symphony Orchestra, as they were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York. See our entire line-up of Toledo’s own musical and performing arts below.
Art Tatum Jazz Society
The Toledo Jazz Society was founded in February 1980 to present, protect and promote Jazz — America’s unique art form. Toledo’s musical history is so rich in Jazz that it is our musical DNA. Our Jazz legacy is illuminated by the piano icon Art Tatum and continues with legendary Jon Hendricks and the incredible array of talent in this area.
