Everyone loves to visit the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium to see their favorite Zoo animals, but the experience can be even more wonderful with a Behind-the-Scenes Tour! Zoo staff will guide you through keeper areas where you can learn even more fascinating details about your favorite animals.

12:30 a.m. The Café at The Oliver House, 27 Broadway St., Toledo
Have lunch at The Café at this 1800s grand hotel converted into restaurants, apartments and venues. Then, tour the historic Oliver House that once served as a medical center for the wounded during the Spanish-American War. This historic building has a haunted reputation.
Group Tour Tip: Ask about the haunting by “The Captain.” He is said to show up most frequently dressed in full uniform.

2:30 p.m. Valentine Theatre, 410 Adams St., Toledo
Join a behind the scenes history tour while enjoying the grandeur of Toledo’s Historic Valentine Theatre.  See the backstage, dressing rooms, and former city hall offices at this magnificent theater that reopened its doors in October of 1999 after extensive renovations.  The historic lobby and existing entrance to the theatre were restored to look as they did in 1895.
Group Tour Tip: Ask about how this building was saved from the wrecking ball and preserved for future generations to enjoy.

3:30 p.m. Old West End Driving Tour
Enjoy a guided tour of the historic Old West End featuring 25 city blocks making up one of the largest collections of late Victorian houses left standing in the United States.  You will get an insider’s look at prominent figures like Edward Drummond Libbey who created a glass dynasty that still exists here today.

4:30 p.m. Original Tony Packo's Café
, 1902 Front St., Toledo
No trip to Toledo would be complete without a stop at the legendary Tony Packo’s, made famous by the hit TV show M*A*S*H. Enjoy Hungarian specialties from the group menu while browsing the celebrity signed hot dog buns displayed on café walls. Along with the world-famous hot dog, other Hungarian specialties include chicken paprikas, stuffed cabbage, apple strudel and dumplings, and the newest sensation, fried green pickles.
