Toledo Symphony: Moving Soliloquies

Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle
2445 Monroe St.
Toledo, OH 43604

Sunday, April 25, 2021 | 7 p.m. (available to livestream)

Michael Lang, director & choreographer

Juliette Morgan Quinlan plays the part of Shakespeare himself as the figments of his imagination in the form of Puck, Romeo, Iago, and Ariel inspire his ideas which will eventually become his future masterpieces. Michael Lang’s world premiere of Moving Soliloquies takes us on a unique journey of Shakespeare’s famous speech “All the world’s a stage” performed by Jaques in As You Like It.

Toledo Ballet dancers will move, portray, and ponder Jaques’ seven ages of life—Infancy, The Schoolboy, The Lover, The Soldier, Justice, Old Age, and Oblivion—accompanied by the chamber music of Beethoven, Ravel, Shostakovich, Grieg, and others all performed live by Toledo Symphony musicians.

The health and safety of our audiences, musicians, staff, and volunteers are of the utmost importance to us. We're continuing to follow the social distancing guidelines recommended by the State of Ohio to ensure the safest environment for all. Limited tickets available for in-person attendance until further notice. CLICK HERE to learn more about streaming options.
