Friday, June, 25, 2021 - Sunday, June 28, 20221 |

Join the Pirate’s in downtown Put-in-Bay Ohio’s DeRivera park and prepare to relive the Pirate Fest era. On Friday evening Authentic Pirates invade the downtown Put-in-Bay harbor to hoist the Pirate Flag and search and recover the stolen treasure. This family-friendly event re-enacts history with cannon firing demonstrations, parades, educational events and is a free event! Just sit back and watch the skullduggery! The event starts at 10:00 am on Friday through Sunday at 6:00 pm.

For over 10 years in a row, pirate fest participants invade Put-in-Bay’s downtown harbor on Friday at 4:00 PM to open the Put-in-Bay Pirate Fest. Grab your wooden leg, eyepatch, and your pet parrot, because you’re going to need them. Saturday will be an exciting day for kids and adults full of fun activities. Make sure you don’t miss the Pirate Parade downtown and the Best Pirate Costume Contest this side of Lake Erie. Adults and children are both encouraged to participate in this hot Put-in-Bay Ohio summer weekend. Additionally, the best adult pirate costume wins a trip to the Cayman Islands! It sounds like a challenge to us!

Pirate Fest Planned Events!

The Pirate marketplace and display will be set up in DeRivera Park and will also be host to a kid’s fun fest. Throughout the day there will be black powder firing demonstrations. The Annual Pyrate Bar Crawl will start at 5 pm for the adult pirate fest participants only! The Bar Crawl would not be complete without a stop at the Blue Marlin Bar & Grill at the Put-in-Bay Resort to meet Captain Morgan himself!

Each day of the event there will be multiple activities, performances, and fun to be had. Tuesday evening will officially conclude the event with the infamous Cardboard Boat Races at 6:00 PM in the downtown harbor. You’ll be sure to have a good time participating in pirate fest-themed events throughout the festival. Watch as scurvy bearded pirates demonstrate sword fighting techniques, as well as the art of skulduggery. Kids will have the chance to practice with foam swords also!

DeRivera Park is home to many of the activities. Here, the pirate encampment will enchant and entertain all. Catch a glimpse of the past with pirates and more carousing about the island.
