Summer Arts Scene in Toledo

The arts scene heats up in Toledo with the addition of outdoor opportunities the summer months bring. From cool Jazz in a scenic garden to gallery hops and annual art fairs, check out the great variety of arts events in the coming weeks!

Hensville Park Concerts
Rock out with downtown Toledo’s skyline as a backdrop as local bands, up-and-coming-stars and chart-topping music icons of all genres take Hensville Park’s outdoor stage for a summer full of sweet tunes.

ProMedica Summer Concert Series
A mix of local and national musicians playing a variety of musical genres will rock the outdoor stage this summer at Promenade Park. Concert-goers will be able to watch the performances on an outdoor video screen, while food trucks and refreshments will be available during each concert.

It’s Friday at Toledo Museum of Art
Enjoy a variety of events Friday evenings all summer long including It’s Friday Music Outdoor Summer Series, Wines by the Glass Pavilion Summer Series, public tours of the museum and more.

Jazz in the Garden
Bring plenty of friends to enjoy cool jazz on warm summer nights each Thursday in July and August during Jazz in the Garden concert series at Toledo Botanical Garden. The very best local jazz musicians perform both big band and unique arrangements throughout the summer.

July Art Loop | Summer Spectacular + Jeep Fest Preview
Celebrate summer in downtown Toledo as the Art Loop partners with the Mud Hens and Jeep Fest to present an evening of family fun, local art, baseball, history, and live music and entertainment. There are over 50 creative spaces, galleries and restaurants that participate in the Art Loop each month and it’s always free and open to the public.

Art on the Mall
One of Toledo's best-known and most eagerly anticipated annual art events where you will find original art, jazz, food and a children's area. Located on Centennial Mall in the center of the University of Toledo's main campus, Art on the Mall is a juried art show that features the area's best artists and is free to attend.

Wild About Art
This unique, two-day art fair set in the wild beauty of the number one zoo in the nation features local and regional artists with various mediums on display for thousands of Zoo visitors! Enjoy live entertainment, interactive activities and, of course, animals! Included with Zoo admission.

August Art Loop  | Dog Days of Summer + Cats
Behind many artists is a furry friend that supports and inspires creativity. This month, the Art Loop celebrates our pets with special exhibitions of pet-themed art, pet portraits and characters, and special activities. Pets welcome!

14th Annual Levis Commons Fine Art Fair
More than 130 artists and artisans will take part in this juried fair; fairgoers will find the same excellence and variety as in the Guild’s award-winning Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair. Featured work will include jewelry, ceramics, painting, glass, photography, fiber and more. Located at Town Center at Levis Commons, it’s the perfect setting for an exceptional art fair. Parking and admission are free.
